Were cats. They are really good books.
In Stray, Faythe Sanders, is brought home from college by her ex, Marc. She hates him, and knows she has to be with him for the sake of the pride. All she wants is freedom, which she was promised, but the time is up. She is in training to be an Enforcer. Young Tabbies go missing, and she does too. She gets back together with Marc.

You have to get the books, they are soooo good. Check your local book shops, they could be there.
