She couldn't leave her bed because herparents would come in later on to congratulate her and thay had told her that they had a surprise. For a second she thought that that might be it, that that might be what was going to change her life forever, but she realised seconds later that it wasn't. Whatever her parents had to give her wouldn't change the life for an 18 year old girl, it might embarrass her to a life-ending point, but nothing more. They were to weird. Her mom treated her like a little kid and like everyday was the last, when her dad barely talked to her, he didn't know what she liked. Her mom didn't want to listen when Cady told her and therefore she wouldn't know what she would like to have.
She had always been interested in magic and supernatural things, she even had sumoned a few spiritsand used some spells, and the onlyone in her family who understood and encouraged her was her grandmother. But no one had heard from her grandmother in a very long time and she didn't even know if she was alive.
So she knew what she was going to wish for later when she blew out the candles, she would wish forone more day with her grandmother. One more day so that she could say goodby if needed, one more day to talk about her problems with her parents with someone who really understand.
Her friends had left her a longtime ago because they thought that it was weird that she was in to witchcraft.
Her thoughts were flying through her head and she kept wondering about the surprise she was going to get and the gnawing feeling in the back of her head that something would happen.
